Norditropin NordiFlex is a somatropin injection designed for subcutaneous administration. It contains the identical sequence of 191 amino acids as naturally occurring human growth hormone, synthesized using recombinant DNA technology by a special strain of E. coli bacteria. This medication is indicated for the long-term treatment of children with growth hormone deficiency, as well as for children born small for gestational age who have not shown catch-up growth. It is also used to correct short height in girls with Turner syndrome and in children with long-standing kidney problems. The product is available in 5 mg/1.5 mL, 10 mg/1.5 mL, and 15 mg/1.5 mL pre-filled disposable pens, making it a convenient option for patients requiring growth hormone replacement therapy.
