Norfloxacin is a broad-spectrum antibacterial agent used to treat various urinary tract infections, including upper and lower, complicated and uncomplicated acute infections, such as cystitis, pyelitis, cystopyelitis, pyelonephritis, chronic prostatitis, epididymitis, and others. It is freely soluble in glacial acetic acid and very slightly soluble in ethanol, methanol, and water.
