• Children with Epilepsy (6-12 years): The initial dose is 100 mg twice daily, increasing by 100 mg per day weekly. The maintenance dose ranges from 400 to 800 mg per day.
• Adults with Trigeminal Neuralgia: The initial dose is 100 mg twice daily, which can be increased by up to 200 mg per day as needed to control symptoms. The maintenance dose typically ranges from 400 to 800 mg per day.

Important Considerations

• Gradual Dose Increase: When adding Seizunil to existing antiepileptic therapy, the dose should be increased gradually while maintaining or decreasing the dose of the concomitant antiepileptic medication.
• Monitoring: Drug level monitoring may be useful for dose selection, minimizing toxicity, verifying drug compliance, and assisting with drug interaction monitoring. Plasma levels should be monitored when starting or stopping medications that may alter the metabolism of carbamazepine.
