Coversyl Plus

Coversyl Plus is a medication designed to help manage high blood pressure in adults. It combines two active ingredients: perindopril arginine, an ACE inhibitor, and indapamide hemihydrate, a diuretic. Perindopril works by widening the blood vessels, making it easier for your heart to pump blood through them. Indapamide increases the amount of urine produced by the kidneys, which helps lower blood pressure.

This combination of perindopril and indapamide is particularly effective because it targets multiple mechanisms that contribute to high blood pressure. It does not adversely affect lipid or carbohydrate metabolism, making it suitable for patients with diabetes. Each tablet contains 5 mg of perindopril arginine and 1.25 mg of indapamide hemihydrate.

Coversyl Plus is available in two strengths: 2.5 mg/0.625 mg and 5 mg/1.25 mg. The 5 mg/1.25 mg strength is indicated for patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled on the lower dose. It is usually taken once a day, preferably in the morning, before a meal.
