Fexocare 120 mg Tablet is an antihistamine medication designed to alleviate symptoms of allergic rhinitis and chronic idiopathic urticaria. It works by blocking histamine, a chemical that triggers allergic reactions, thereby reducing symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes and nose, and hives.

Uses

• Allergic Rhinitis: Fexocare is effective in treating seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis in adults and children 12 years of age and older. It relieves symptoms like sneezing, rhinorrhea, lacrimation, and itchy eyes and nose.
• Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria: Fexocare also helps in managing chronic idiopathic urticaria by reducing the number of wheals and pruritus in adults and children 12 years of age and older.

Dosage

• Allergic Rhinitis:
• Adults and children 12 years and older: 60 mg twice daily, 120 mg once daily, or 180 mg once daily. For impaired renal function, the recommended dosage is 60 mg once daily.
• Children under 12 years: 30 mg twice daily or 60 mg once daily. For impaired renal function, the recommended dosage is 30 mg once daily.
• Suspension: 30 mg or 5 ml twice daily. For impaired renal function, the recommended dosage is 30 mg or 5 ml once daily.

• Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria:
• Adults and children 12 years and older: 60 mg twice daily, 120 mg once daily, or 180 mg once daily. For impaired renal function, the recommended dosage is 60 mg once daily.
• Children under 12 years: 30 mg twice daily or 60 mg once daily. For impaired renal function, the recommended dosage is 30 mg once daily.
• Suspension: 15 mg or 2.5 ml (1/2 tsp) twice daily. For impaired renal function, the recommended dosage is 15 mg or 2.5 ml (1/2 tsp) once daily.
• Suspension: 30 mg or 5 ml (1 tsp) twice daily. For impaired renal function, the recommended dosage is 30 mg or 5 ml (1 tsp) once daily.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Fexocare 120 mg Tablet include vomiting, headache, coughing, diarrhea, painful menstruation, pain in the arms and legs, hives, and redness of skin. If you experience any severe side effects, consult your doctor immediately.

Important Notes

• Driving and Machinery Use: Fexocare is unlikely to affect your ability to drive or use machines, but it is advisable to check your individual response before performing tasks that require concentration.
• Antacids Interaction: Do not take Fexocare with antacids as it may decrease the absorption of the medication.
• Fruit Juices Interaction: Avoid taking Fexocare with fruit juices like apple, orange, or grapefruit as they may reduce the effectiveness of the medication.
