Amibazol is a film-coated tablet used to treat infections caused by susceptible microorganisms, including amebiasis, trichomoniasis, lambliasis, and anaerobic bacterial infections. It is also effective in treating non-specific vaginitis.

Dosage Information
- Amebiasis:
- Children: 30 to 40 mg/kg/day, divided into 3 doses.
- Adults: 1 tablet, 3 times a day, for 7 to 10 days.
- Trichomoniasis (urethritis or vaginitis by trichomonas):
- Adults: 4 tablets as a single dose, repeated after 15 days, or ½ tablet, twice a day for 10 days. It is crucial that both partners are treated simultaneously, even if only one shows clinical signs.
- Lambliasis:
- Children aged 10 to 15 years: ½ tablet, twice a day.
- Adults and children over 15 years: 1 tablet, twice a day, for 5 to 7 days.
- Anaerobic Bacterial Infections:
- Children: 20 to 30 mg/kg/day, divided into 3 doses.
- Adults: 1 tablet, 3 times a day.
- Non-Specific Vaginitis:
- Adults: 1 tablet, twice a day, for 7 days.
