Piriton allergy relief tablets contain an antihistamine called Chlorphenamine. This medication is designed to treat various allergy symptoms by blocking the action of histamine in the body. Histamine is the chemical responsible for the typical symptoms of an allergy, such as itching, sneezing, and runny nose.

Why Use Piriton?

Piriton is effective for relieving symptoms of hay fever and other allergies, including pet, house, dust mite, and mold spore allergies. It also helps with nettle rash and hives, skin allergies and dermatitis, prickly heat and heat rash, reactions to food or medicine, insect bites and stings, and the itchy rash of chickenpox.

How Quickly Does Piriton Work?

Piriton is fast-acting, providing relief in as little as 30 minutes. It can be used safely every day to prevent allergies like hay fever or taken as needed to treat specific allergic reactions.

Key Information:

• Dosage: Each tablet contains 4 milligrams of chlorphenamine maleate.
• Administration: Oral administration only. Do not exceed the stated dose or frequency of dosing. The minimum dosing interval is 4 hours.
• Duration: Do not use continuously for more than two weeks without consulting a doctor.

Piriton tablets are round, circular, and biconvex, with a ‘P’ engraved on one side and a breakline on the reverse face. They can be divided into equal doses for convenience. Piriton is indicated for symptomatic control of all allergic conditions responsive to antihistamines, including hay fever, vasomotor rhinitis, urticaria, angioneurotic oedema, food allergy, drug and serum reactions, and insect bites. It is also used for the symptomatic relief of itch associated with chickenpox.
