Stelazine 1mg Tablet: Effective Treatment for Mental Health Disturbances

Stelazine 1mg tablets contain trifluoperazine hydrochloride, an active ingredient that helps correct chemical imbalances in the brain, which may cause mental illnesses with disturbances in thinking, feelings, and behavior. This medication is used to treat generalized non-psychotic anxiety and is effective for short-term management of severe anxiety, tension, and agitation.

Each blue, round, film-coated tablet is imprinted with SKF and S03. The inactive ingredients include cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, FD&C Blue No. 2, FD&C Yellow No. 6, FD&C Red No. 40, gelatin, iron oxide, lactose, magnesium stearate, talc, and titanium dioxide.

For adults, the starting dose is usually 1 mg to 2 mg taken twice a day. Your doctor may adjust the dosage based on your condition and any other medications you are taking. It is essential to follow the prescribed dosage and not exceed the recommended amount, as this can lead to serious side effects.

Stelazine tablets should be swallowed with a glass of water and taken at the same times each day to maintain consistent levels of the medication in your system. It is crucial to continue taking the medicine as directed by your doctor, even if you feel well, as it helps control your condition and does not cure it.

Common side effects include drowsiness, dizziness, and dry mouth. However, if you experience any serious side effects such as difficulty passing urine, fast or irregular heartbeat, red or painful eyes, agitation, confusion, or nervousness, you should stop taking the medication and consult your doctor immediately.

Stelazine is available only with a doctor’s prescription and should be stored between 15°C and 30°C (59°F and 86°F).
