Zyloric Tablets: Effective Relief for Uric Acid Issues

Zyloric tablets contain the active ingredient allopurinol, which helps slow down the production of uric acid in your body. This medication is used to reduce or prevent the formation of urate/uric acid deposits, which can lead to conditions like gout, certain types of kidney stones, and other kidney problems. It is also beneficial during cancer treatment, where high uric acid levels can be a concern.

Each Zyloric tablet comes in two strengths: 100 mg and 300 mg. The 100 mg tablets are white to off-white, round, and marked with a score line (Z1), while the 300 mg tablets are also white to off-white, round, and marked with a score line (Z3).

• Gout: Zyloric helps reduce uric acid buildup in joints and tendons, preventing the formation of crystals that cause inflammation and severe pain.

Important Information

• Ethnic Considerations: If you are of Han Chinese, African, or Indian origin, you should consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking Zyloric.
• Dosage: Start with a low dose (100 mg daily) and increase as needed. Be cautious if you have poor renal function.

Storage and Disposal

• Storage: Keep Zyloric tablets in their original packaging and store them at a temperature below 25°C.
• Disposal: Do not dispose of unused tablets via wastewater or household waste. Return them to your pharmacist for proper disposal.
