• Cattle: For 30 minutes of anesthesia, ketamine can be administered intramuscularly alone or in combination with other agents.

• Metabolism: Ketamine is rapidly metabolized, with a short half-life of approximately 40-60 minutes. The most important metabolite is norketamine, which maintains the anesthetic effect.
• Excretion: The drug is mainly excreted in the urine, with a small portion excreted in the bile.
• Residues: Due to its rapid absorption, tissue distribution, metabolism, and excretion, ketamine does not pose a problem in terms of residues.
