Spersadex eye drops are a powerful solution for treating severe eye inflammation and infections. This medication combines chloramphenicol, an antibiotic, with dexamethasone sodium phosphate, a corticosteroid, to provide both anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects. • Active Ingredients: Chloramphenicol (5 mg/ml) and dexamethasone sodium phosphate (1 mg/ml).

• Dosage: 1 drop, instilled into the conjunctival sac, 3-5 times daily. In acute cases, up to 1 drop per hour may be necessary.
• Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to the active substances or excipients, corneal lesions, viral infections, glaucoma, severe hepatic dysfunction, severe blood disorders, neonates, and family history of bone marrow depression.
• Precautions: Caution is required when administering corticosteroids to infants under 2 years of age. Chloramphenicol should not be used for more than 10 days, and if no improvement is seen after 7-8 days, other therapeutic measures should be considered.

Important Safety Information:

• Systemic Adverse Effects: There is a risk of aplastic anemia or other blood dyscrasias with the use of chloramphenicol. Regular monitoring is necessary.
• Adverse Effects: Mild burning sensation after instillation, reversible increase in intraocular pressure in predisposed patients, and occasional reports of cataracts and corneal melt with long-term use.
• Storage: Store in a refrigerator at 2-8°C. Use within one month of opening and discard any remaining product at the end of treatment.
