Brevoxyl 4% Cream, 40g.
Brevoxyl is a water-based cream containing 4% benzoyl peroxide, an antibacterial and mild peeling agent. It belongs to a group of medicines called keratolytics (peeling agents) and works by fighting the bacteria that can cause acne. This cream is used to treat moderate acne, helping to reduce the number of spots, stop new blackheads and whiteheads from forming, and make your skin less oily.
How to Use Brevoxyl:
- Application: Use Brevoxyl once or twice a day as instructed by your doctor or pharmacist. Start with one application daily, preferably in the evening, and gradually increase to twice daily if needed.
- Skin Care: Avoid using Brevoxyl on broken skin, such as cuts or grazes. Keep it away from your eyes, eyelids, lips, mouth, and inside the nose. If contact occurs, wash the affected area with water immediately.
- Allergic Reactions: Do not use Brevoxyl if you are allergic to benzoyl peroxide or any of the other ingredients. If you experience skin irritation, reduce the frequency of application or stop using it until the irritation goes away.
Important Information:
- Ingredients: Brevoxyl contains propylene glycol alginate, which may cause skin irritation. It also contains stearyl alcohol and cetyl alcohol, which may cause local skin reactions like contact dermatitis.
- Contraindications: Do not use Brevoxyl if the packaging is torn or shows signs of tampering. Also, do not use it if the expiry date has passed.
Brevoxyl is available without a prescription and is suitable for adults and adolescents aged twelve years or over.
