Filgrastim Solution for Injection/Infusion

Filgrastim is a medication used to reduce the duration of neutropenia and the incidence of febrile neutropenia in patients undergoing chemotherapy. It works by stimulating the production of white blood cells, helping to prevent infections and support the recovery of bone marrow.

Each pre-filled syringe contains 30 million units (MU) of filgrastim, which is a recombinant methionyl human granulocyte-colony stimulating factor produced in Escherichia coli. The solution is administered via injection or infusion and contains 50 mg of sorbitol per milliliter. Filgrastim is available only by prescription and is used to support patients with low white blood cell counts caused by cancer treatments.
