Marixino 10 mg Film-Coated Tablets for Alzheimer’s Disease Treatment
Marixino 10 mg film-coated tablets are a medication designed to help manage the symptoms of moderate to severe Alzheimer’s disease. Each tablet contains 10 mg of memantine hydrochloride, which is equivalent to 8.31 mg of memantine. The tablets are film-coated and white, oval in shape, and biconvex.
Marixino works by acting on N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptors in the brain, improving the transmission of nerve signals and enhancing memory. It is essential to take the medication as directed by your healthcare provider, typically starting with one 10 mg tablet per day and adjusting to two 10 mg tablets or one 20 mg tablet from week 4 onwards.
If you have a history of epileptic seizures, have recently experienced a heart attack, or suffer from congestive heart failure or uncontrolled high blood pressure, you should discuss your treatment with your doctor. Additionally, if you have kidney problems, your healthcare provider should closely monitor your condition.
Marixino contains lactose as an excipient, and it is recommended to store the medication out of the sight and reach of children. Always read the package leaflet before use and follow the instructions provided by your healthcare provider for the best results in managing your Alzheimer’s disease symptoms.
