Prontosan Wound Irrigation Solution

Prontosan is a specialized wound cleanser designed to effectively clean and manage both infected and non-infected acute and chronic wounds. It contains both a preservative and a surfactant, which helps in physically removing wound coatings by reducing surface tension to levels lower than water and saline solution.

Available in 1 L bottles, 350 mL bottles, and 40 mL ampoules, Prontosan is safe to use throughout the wound healing process and can be used up to 8 weeks after opening. The 350 mL bottle can produce up to 7 PSI for selective mechanical debridement, making it ideal for thorough cleansing of wounds.

Prontosan is recommended for rinsing or cleansing acute or chronic wounds as part of the Wound Bed Pathway. It can be used independently or in conjunction with Prontosan Gel if further treatment is indicated.
