The SUFRE-Tulle Antibiotic Dressing is designed to manage infected wounds effectively. This dressing combines low adherence with antimicrobial activity, making it ideal for treating wounds, ulcers, burns, and other lesions that are clinically infected. It is impregnated with framycetin sulphate, an antibiotic from the aminoglycoside group, which is active against a wide range of bacteria including Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, and Klebsiella species.

• Antimicrobial Activity: The dressing contains 1.0% w/w framycetin sulphate, which provides broad-spectrum antibacterial activity.
• Low Adherence: Designed to minimize irritation and discomfort, making it suitable for sensitive skin.
• Indications: Suitable for managing minor traumatic injuries, ulcers, burns, and other clinically infected wounds.
• Contraindications: Not recommended for patients allergic to lanolin or sensitive to framycetin, neomycin, or chemically related products. Should not be used on wounds free of clinical infection or those resistant to the antibiotic.

Usage:

1. **Preparation:** Clean the wound with a sterile solution like normal saline.

2. **Application:** Apply a single layer of SUFRE-Tulle and cover it with an absorbent pad.

3. **Securing:** Hold the dressing in place with tape or a bandage, ensuring it does not extend over the surrounding skin when treating ulcers.

It consists of a cotton leno-weave fabric impregnated with a base composed of white soft paraffin and anhydrous lanolin.
