Tev-Tropin: A Reliable Solution for Growth Hormone Deficiency

Tev-Tropin is a recombinant somatropin injection designed to help children with growth hormone deficiency achieve normal growth rates. This sterile, white lyophilized powder is intended for subcutaneous administration after reconstitution with the accompanying diluent. The 5 mg vial contains 5 mg of somatropin and 30 mg of mannitol, while the 10 mg vial contains 10 mg of somatropin, 10 mg of mannitol, 3.57 mg of disodium phosphate dodecahydrate, and 0.79 mg of sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate.

The diluent for the 5 mg vial includes bacteriostatic 0.9% sodium chloride injection, USP, with 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative, and water for injection. The diluent for the 10 mg vial contains bacteriostatic water for injection with 0.33% meta cresol as a preservative.

Clinical trials have shown that Tev-Tropin is equivalent in therapeutic effectiveness and pharmacokinetic profile to human growth hormone of pituitary origin. It stimulates linear growth in children by increasing IGF-1 (Insulin-Like Growth Factor-1) concentrations, which are similar to those seen after therapy with human growth hormone of pituitary origin.

Tev-Tropin is a highly purified preparation with a pH range of 7.0 to 9.0. It is available in combination packages with the necessary diluents to ensure proper administration. This product is specifically designed for children who lack adequate levels of endogenous growth hormone, helping them achieve normal growth rates and improve their overall health.
