GENTICYN ( Gentamicin ) 10 G CREAM

Gentamicin 0.1% Cream for Skin Infections.

This cream is a powerful topical antibiotic designed to treat various bacterial skin infections. It contains gentamicin sulfate, which effectively kills a wide range of bacteria, including strains of Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococci, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Gentamicin 0.1% Cream is particularly useful for treating primary infections like impetigo contagiosa, superficial folliculitis, and ecthyma, as well as secondary infections such as infectious eczematoid dermatitis and pustular acne. It is also effective in treating infected burns, stasis ulcers, and other skin abscesses.

The cream is easy to apply and can be used three to four times daily. It is recommended for wet, oozing primary infections and greasy, secondary infections. Gentamicin 0.1% Cream is suitable for use in infants over one year of age, as well as in adults and children. However, it is contraindicated in individuals with a history of sensitivity to any of its components. Regular observation is advisable for patients sensitive to neomycin.

If irritation, sensitization, or superinfection occurs, treatment should be discontinued and appropriate therapy instituted. Store the cream at 20-25°C (68-77°F) and follow the recommended usage to ensure effective treatment of your skin infections.
