• Administration: Valpro EC tablets should be taken twice daily with or after food. The enteric-coated tablets must be swallowed whole, and if necessary, with a little water.
• Side Effects: Common side effects of Valpro include feeling tired or drowsy, memory impairment, confusion, hallucinations, and changes in behavior. More severe side effects include blood clotting problems, spontaneous bruising or bleeding, rashes, and signs of liver problems.
• Contraindications: Valpro should not be taken if you have an allergy to aspirin or other salicylates, anticoagulants like warfarin, or certain medications used to treat epilepsy or depression. It is also contraindicated with benzodiazepines and oral contraceptives.
