Clotrimazole Cream 1% – Effective Treatment for Fungal Skin Infections.

Clotrimazole Cream 1% is a powerful antifungal agent designed to treat a variety of fungal skin infections. This cream is particularly effective against dermatophytes, yeasts, and moulds, including species like Trichophyton and Candida. It is commonly used to treat conditions such as ringworm, athlete’s foot, fungal nappy rash, and fungal sweat rash.

The cream works by destroying the fungus or yeast that causes the infection, providing relief from irritation and discomfort. It is also effective in treating external thrush of the vulva and balanitis of the penis. Each tube contains 1% w/w Clotrimazole, with each gram of cream containing 10 mg of the active ingredient.

For optimal results, it is recommended to use alternative precautions for at least five days after applying the cream, especially if you are treating the vulva or penis. The cream is part of a vanishing cream base that includes sorbitan monostearate, polysorbate 60, cetyl esters wax, cetostearyl alcohol, octyldodecanol, purified water, and benzyl alcohol as a preservative.
