Flamex WD for Raw Wood: A Comprehensive Flame Retardant Solution

Introducing Flamex WD, the latest innovation in flame retardant treatments for raw wood and cellulosic materials. This versatile product replaces Rosco W40 and is designed to render a wide range of materials, including plywood, board stock, sheet goods, hay, and acoustical tile, flame retardant.

• Easy to Use: Flamex WD is premixed and ready to apply, eliminating the need for further dilution.
• Effective Coverage: One gallon of Flamex WD can treat approximately 150-200 square feet (14-18.5 square meters) of material.
• Application Methods: You can apply Flamex WD using dipping, brushing, or spraying methods. For dipping, immerse the material completely for ten minutes and hang to dry. For brushing, use a wide lay-in brush to saturate the material and allow it to absorb before reapplying a second treatment. For spraying, use a Hudson-type sprayer with a medium nozzle setting to ensure adequate absorption.

Important Considerations:

• Absorption Rate: The absorption rate of the wood or cellulosic materials being used may significantly affect proper flame retardance. Always test for effective flame retardance.
• Certification and Testing: Flamex WD has been approved for use by the California and New York City Fire Marshall and has been tested according to ASTM E84 Class B.
