Eplalev: Continuous Levodopa Infusion for Advanced Parkinson’s Disease

Eplalev is a 24-hour continuous subcutaneous infusion of levodopa-based therapy designed to manage motor fluctuations in adults with advanced Parkinson’s disease. This innovative treatment provides a non-surgical solution for patients experiencing daily challenges with motor symptom control as their disease progresses.

Each 1 mL of Eplalev contains 24 mg of foslevodopa, which is equivalent to approximately 17 mg of levodopa. The pump allows for a loading dose ranging from 0.1 mL to a maximum of 3.0 mL, in increments of 0.1 mL. Healthcare professionals can adjust the hourly infusion rate to achieve the optimal clinical response for the patient, with options for two alternative hourly infusion rates (Low/High) to accommodate varying activity levels.
