Fludara

Fludara is a medication used to treat B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (B-CLL) in patients with sufficient healthy blood cell production. It contains the active substance fludarabine phosphate, which stops the growth of new cancer cells by interfering with their ability to divide. This is particularly beneficial for patients whose cancer cells are resistant to other treatments.

Fludara is administered as an injection or infusion, typically given once a day for five consecutive days, with the treatment course repeated every 28 days. The duration of treatment depends on the effectiveness of the medication and the patient’s tolerance. Regular blood tests are conducted to monitor the number of blood cells and adjust the dosage accordingly.
