Tamol: The Ultimate Stabilizer for Aqueous Dispersions and Emulsions

Tamol is a versatile stabilizer designed for aqueous dispersions and emulsions, as well as solutions of surfactants and other auxiliaries. These sulphonic acid condensation products are highly effective in various industrial applications, including detergent and cleaner formulations. The Tamol N grades, which are condensation products of naphthalenesulphonic acid, vary in their degree of polycondensation, degree of neutralization, and salt content. The Tamol NN grades have a low degree of polycondensation, while Tamol NH 7519 has a high degree of polycondensation.

The products are supplied in both powder and liquid forms, with the powders ranging from pale brown to deep brown in color and the liquids being dark brown. They are excellent dispersing agents and protective colloids, performing well in applications such as dispersing pigments and dyes in aqueous media, acting as laking agents for dyes, and precipitating cationic substances. Additionally, they have applications in metal finishing.

Tamol products are not surface-active, resulting in low wetting power and minimal foaming tendency. They are essential components in many industrial formulations due to their excellent dispersing action and versatility in various chemical processes.
